Jumper Paul Collins service history updated

Passed through the gates of Raleigh and into navy life on Jun 6th 1978.

Trained as a JS (o) 2 on sonar’s type 170/184 in HMS Vernon Sept 78 - Jan 79.

Joined the Starship Sirius in Jan 1979, Capt. Tudor Craig (Kirk) commanding.

I Broke my leg on ships sports day and ended up in Drake barracks Sep 80 -  Mar 81.

After recovering had 10 months in HMS Osprey sailing center working with MAA Wilf Westlake.

Joined HMS Euryalus as an AB(s) 2 ½ years of partying!  Jan 82 - May 84.

Went Yachty in May 84 served on HMY Britannia till Dec 85.

Joined Collingwood Armory DO Gunnery Officer Lt. (shovel-face Andrews, Old Lad!) Dec 85 - Apr 86.

Started LS(s) Course 2016 and Passive X training Apr 86 - Sep 87.

Had 2 years on the Billie “B” Boxer with Steve Nash left as an A/PO(s).

PO(s) Course Sept 89 – June 90 with Dave Hale, Gary Burton,  Ginge Devine, George Rowntree, Roy Flint, George Memory!

 Joined Cornwall alongside Rick Burley, and Kermit Pinch for 2 ½ years’ best draft of my career.

 Back to Follyfoot Farm to teach LS(S) Passive and cross trained as ASWD with Chris Jones

 Dec 92 – Jan 95.   Joined Sheffield for 2 ½ years when outback and walkabout on Australasia 96.

Had my second experience of a Sailing centre in JP Raleigh Feb 97 – Jul 97.

Joined Brave Jul 97 to June 99 had a break literally in between, right leg this time, 1 M to 2 M flat in 2.8 milli-seconds! Convalesced in Drake and Cambeltown.

Joined Dryad as part 3 Buffer Flint Sqn. Jul 99 then on to Nereus with Ian Gowman, leiu Richie Toulton and my boss Ted Lewis on FTRS service.

Had a total career change in June 04 for second stint of FTRS went to HMS Blyth as Bosun for 9 months different world that’s all I say!

Finished career as buffer an Q of Neptune Feb 05 to Jun 06

I’m married to Alison have 2 children Adam and Hannah and 3 adopted grandchildren!!

As my last draft was in Scotland I have settled up North for now, however look out for me on a RAS point close to you anytime soon as I joined the RFA as a decky in Jun 06, so here for any 15 years of service!!
